Knowing how to prevent cartridge clogging protects the cartridge's intended draw, flavor profile, and usable life. The objective is not to force vapor through a blocked path. It is to keep the oil and airflow system operating within normal conditions.

Why cartridges clog

Most cartridge clogs are caused by a combination of viscosity, temperature, storage position, and draw technique. Cannabis and hemp extracts become thicker in cool conditions. When thick oil cannot move consistently toward the heating element, it can partially obstruct the small air channels designed to feed vapor to the mouthpiece.

The opposite problem can occur in excessive heat. Thin oil may flood the coil or migrate into the center airway.
